The Washingtonian began publishing a Top Lawyers list in 1992 and continues to select its top lawyers list every other year. This recognition is based upon the Washingtonian’s survey of local attorneys asking them to whom they would turn if they needed legal help and advice. The Washingtonian uses this feedback to make final selections to compile their list of the capital’s top attorneys.
