Steve Trow was the CEO of Trow & Rahal from when the law firm was founded in 1993 through his retirement on December 31, 2019. He practiced U.S. immigration and citizenship law since 1980, focusing his practice exclusively on this field since 1989. From 1978 to 1989 he worked in the Washington, DC office of a major New York law firm handling corporate finance and federal regulatory matters.
Steve’s reputation within the legal community led to selection by his peers for inclusion in several prestigious publications, including The Best Lawyers in America, Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Lawyers,” the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (Corporate Immigration), the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, and the Chambers USA directory.
Steve was a frequent speaker on U.S. immigration and citizenship issues, particularly as they intersected with U.S. tax law. His speaking engagements included presentations on inbound immigration planning and outbound expatriation planning for the American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Law Institute, Bloomberg BNA, District of Columbia Bar, Heckerling Institute, New York State Bar Association, Practising Law Institute, and Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.
Steve received his J.D. degree, with honors, in 1978 from Cornell Law School, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Cornell Law Review. He earned his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado in 1975.
