She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Northwestern University, a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law. Ms. Hoffman is a past President of the D.C. Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a longtime member of AILA and has written several articles on Immigration and Nationality Law. She also frequently lectures on immigration issues at universities, professional conferences and seminars, and various private, governmental, non-profit institutions and international organizations. She is a admitted to the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars and served as the Vice Chair of the DC Bar’s Committee on Unauthorized Practice.
