Sara Harlow joined Trow & Rahal as an Associate Attorney in 2025, with more than a decade of experience practicing business immigration and nationality law representing corporate and individual clients in a wide range of employment-based and family-based immigration matters.
Sara has substantial experience with nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories including H-1B, L-1A/B, O-1, TN, E-2, E-3, PERM, EB-1, and adjustment of status applications. She has developed particular strengths in responding to complex Requests for Evidence (RFEs), including matters involving startup businesses, specialized knowledge, and specialty occupation issues.
Sara also has extensive experience managing high-volume corporate immigration programs and leading diverse legal teams. She has successfully designed and implemented systems to improve workflow efficiency, standardize procedures, and enhance client service delivery. Prior to joining Trow & Rahal, she worked at several prominent law firms in the DC metropolitan region.
Sara received her J.D., cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law in 2014, where she participated in the International Human Rights Law Clinic. She earned her B.A. in Neuroscience from Amherst College in 2005.
Sara is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has served on various AILA committees, and she is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. Her legal work has been recognized by The Legal 500 United States for Immigration (2022–2024).
Sara brings a global perspective to her practice, having lived and worked abroad in Kenya, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.
