Clarissa Upadhyay joined Trow and Rahal as an associate attorney in 2010. She has been practicing immigration and nationality law for over seven years. Clarissa has extensive experience with nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based cases, marriage and family-based cases, and permanent residence status applications based upon the PERM system, and citizenship and naturalization applications.
Clarissa is also well versed in visas for investors and entrepreneurs, including the EB-5 investor visa program for individuals investing in a newly commercial enterprise or regional center-run project. She assists investors and their families through all stages of the EB-5 immigration process.
In 2005, she received her J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore where she served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She received her B.A. degree, cum laude, in International Affairs from George Washington University in 2001.
Clarissa is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association ( AILA), the Association of Nepalis in Americas (ANA), the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland, and the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia Bars
